At the heart of BATS is our Professional Development program. Our members benefit from a plethora of ongoing opportunities, both formal and informal, to learn from each other and grow as educators. A few of these opportunities include:

- Three annual General Meetings, which include educational presentations from both current and prospective members.
- Frequent member-led "Breakout" meetings (see example recent year schedule below) on a wide range of topics, from changes to the colleges admissions process to marketing and business development.
- A new series of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) trainings provided by expert Tamisha Williams.
- A weekly DEI discussion group.
- Shared Google Drive resource folders for a wide variety of academic subjects and standardized tests.
- A burgeoning peer-review program through which members can share video clips of their tutoring sessions (with student and family permission, of course) and obtain constructive feedback.
- A robust Slack discussion group on a wide variety of education-related topics.
- A strong network for informal peer-to-peer consultations.
